Daniel Thonon studied Harpsichord at the Music conservatory of Geneva,
Switzerland between 1968 and 1973, with Isabelle Nef, a student of Wanda
Landowska and Nadia Boulanger. He also studied with Anne Gallet and attended
Master Classes with Gustav Leonhardt.
Although harpsichord concerts are not his main activity, Daniel proposes
concerts-lectures where he plays the harpsichord and the virginal while
initiating the audiences to those unusual instruments as well as to the
historical and social context.
Daniel is renowned
for his talent as a
communicator and his presentations are always much appreciated.
